LONDON STREET REPORT / FICTIONAL ARCHIVE

A Sunday
on the 38.

FRAME
017

VICTORIA → CLAPTON, 16:42. Reconstruction, not documentary photography.

01. The coat

Long enough to catch the wind at the bus stop. Charcoal wool, narrow shoulder, collar turned up against a fine mist.

02. The layer

A burgundy polo beneath a washed grey sweatshirt. The laurel, if there is one, is nearly hidden.

03. The shoe

Something between school uniform and club queue: polished black leather, square toe, scuffed at the heel.

“British style was most convincing when the weather forced everyone to improvise.”— Notes from the Versert desk
